4-2-2. Overwriting method
1. While pressing the PLAY/STOP button on the digital video
recorder, press the ALL RESET button at the rear.
A beep will sound and the digital video recorder will switch
to overwriting mode.
2. In the "Hyperterminal" window of the computer, click
"Transfer (T)", and then click "Text File Transfer (T)".
The "Text File Transfer (T)" window will be displayed.
3. Change the "Save as type" setting to "All Files (*.*)", and
then select the name of the file to be transferred so that it
appears in the "File name (N)" box.
4. Click "Open (O)".
Overwriting will start, and the LED on the digital video
recorder's front panel will flash.
After about 3--4 minutes, a buzzer will sound and overwrit-
ing will be complete. The digital video recorder will then
restart automatically.
5. Close the "Hyperterminal" window at the computer.
4-2-3. Checking the overwriting operation
1. Display the POWER FAILURE/USED TIME sub-menu.
2. Check that the firmware version has been updated.
