S300 VOC FOR SMOKING ROOM
USER INSTRUCTIONS
MAINTENANCE
•
MONTLY
:
o
Check filter: if filters are dirty, change them (part #
MSCFTR10
). This will help lower air
restrictions so to keep up the performance of the unit.
o
Check if the lamps are covered with dust; in that case, clean them with denatured
alcohol and a clean cloth.
•
ANNUALLY:
o
Change lamps (parts -see below) to maintain performance: make sure to put the same
lamp in the same clamp. Do not interchange lamps as the blue end cap lamp works only
with the VOC controller.

•
3-5 years
: Change VOC controller (
MSC1A)
WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
•
The VOC controller analyzes the air every 90 seconds. A 20-foot power cord connects it via a
relay to the device to activate the second oxidizing lamp on demand.
•
The S300 VOC unit runs continuously, so its regular lamp purifies the air constantly. This
dual zone lamp (UVC / UVV) is enough when there are only one or two smokers.
•
However, if there is much smoke in the room, the VOC controller, that samples the air on a
regular basis, will then trigger the second all UVV lamp for a period of 90 seconds. This cycle
will repeat itself until there is no more smoke in the room: the second lamp will then shut
off, leaving the first lamp on doing the work
SIMPLIFIED PROCESS
:
•
Ashes in the “white” smoke will be trapped onto the filter
•
Nicotine molecules will be dried by the UVC rays than trapped in the filters without the tar like
material that coats everything.
•
VOC will be oxidised by the UVV, reducing substantially their olfactory perception.
It is very important that the fan processes the air rapidly.
Changing the filters regularly is a must.
