The SU command is provided to enable the current status of the rotating polarizer and the
measurement speed setting to be probed. The command returns a six digit number. The interpretation
of the six digit number is detailed overleaf:
* These commands do not support "echo-back" in RS-232C communication.
MF Stops polarizer rotating at point of maximum measured power. MF
BF Stops polarizer rotating at point of minimum measured power. BF
MO Starts polarizer rotating. MO
AF Cancels averaging function for PER calculation. AF
AO Turns on averaging function for PER calculation. AO
RE Initiates reset of PEM-320 unit. RE
SU Sets output variable to indicate status. SU*

Receive data command for RS-232C communication only. The
value of the output variable that has been set is received after
this command is issued.
