AIR QUALITY SENSOR SQA

Fumes, odours, moisture and other pollutants diminish the level of quality of

the ambient air.
The SQA senor allows control of this level by switching the fan on when

the concentration of pollutants is higher than the preset limit.
When the level of air quality returns back to the preset value, the fan will

continue to work for an adjustable time of between 1 and 25 minutes.

MOUNTING AND ELECTRICAL WIRING
IMPORTANT: Do not use the SAQ sensor to detect combustion gases or in

safety installations as a detecting element for fumes or in any other alarm

system.
Do not install the sensor too close to any significant source or heat,

humidity or grease (kitchen).

Mounting
Fix the SQA at a height of 2 metres above the floor level and in such a way

that the air circulates freely. Avoid installation close to a door, window,

chimney or a corner.
To fix the SQA to the wall, simply carefully remove the front cover by

loosening the screw in the bottom. Fix the box in the choosen site through

the holes in the base.

Electrical wiring
Before commencing wiring of the sensor, ensure that the mains supply is

disconnected.
In the installation there must be a double pole switch with an opening of at

least 3 mm between contacts.

Adjustment
To be active, the sensor needs 15 minutes of operation in the normal

conditions or use.
When the sensor is connected to the mains supply, the green indicator will

light.
The yellow indicator nº3 shows that the ambient air has a pollution level

above the selected value.
The small wheel marked SQA can be used to adjust the required level of air

quality. This level will depend on the application. Turn the SQA wheel down

until the yellow indicator nº 3 light, and then, turn the wheel up until the light

is off. At this setting, the sensor will be adjusted for the present level of air

quality.
The wheel « t » is for adjusting the timer of the SQA. This timer

activates at the moment that the level of air quality goes reaches the

selected value, to ensure a complete ventilation of the room. The yellow

indication nº 2 will light while the fan is working during timer operation (1-25

min).
