Connecting to the computer
Both MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) and MSC (Mass Storage Class) protocols are
supported. From the Sansa c200’s Main Menu, go to Settings/USB/Auto Detect
or MSC to change the mode. Auto Detect settings will default to MTP mode.

Connect the larger end of the USB cable into the dock connector of the Sansa
player

Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to an available USB port on the
computer

Once connected to computer:
a.
The Sansa c200 player display screen should say Connected
b.
The computer’s Operating System will detect the player automatically and
prompt user to choose one of the following options.
In Auto Detect (MTP) mode, the player will appear as Sansa c200 Portable
Media Player in My Computer.
Double-click on Internal Memory icon to access the internal memory or the
Expansion Card to access the microSD card. MTP is needed when using your
device with monthly music subscription services such as Rhapsody, Napster, and
Yahoo! Music.
Note: The Expansion Card will appear only when a microSD card is inserted.
In MSC mode, the Sansa c200 player will appear under My Computer as
Removable Drives. One drive letter is for the Sansa player. Another drive
letter is for the microSD card. The Sansa c200 can be used as another
removable player to transfer files to and from the computer.
