Advanced Shooting
Snap Shot(VP-M53/M54 only)

With the SNAP SHOT feature, your camcorder can function like a normal film camera, allowing you to
take single still pictures.

The SNAP SHOT function operates in the CAMERA mode.
1. Set power switch to CAMERA mode and LOCK/STANDBY
switch to STANDBY mode.
2. Press SNAP SHOT button in the direction of standstill
that you want to shoot.

At this time, be careful not to shake your camcorder
because the image will be indistinctly recorded.
3. After the SNAP SHOT button has been pressed, your camcorder will automatically return to
STANDBY mode after shooting the still image for 6 seconds.

You can check the remaining time for SNAP SHOT shooting by looking at the time displayed on
the screen.
■
To stop SNAP SHOT shooting, press SNAP SHOT
button again.
Notes:
■
While the SNAP SHOT is activated, you can not activate other functions by pressing other buttons.
■
If your camcorder is shaken or impacted during shooting, the recording state may not be in good
condition.
■
The SNAP SHOT is activated in recording.
■
When the SNAP SHOT button is pressed in CAMERA mode without any tape,
the standstill screen will be displayed.
