Downloading the Remainder of a Message
Note:
The maximum amount
you can download in one
transaction is 6000
characters. If the message
has more than 6000
characters remaining,
another transaction is
required. For more
information, contact the
Customer Support
department at Palm.net.
Long messages are downloaded in 500 character segments
until the complete message is downloaded. You can decide
how much of the message to read. You can either download
the entire message or ignore whatever remaining text is
available.
To download a message:
1.
When the message is displayed on the screen, tap the
“More” button.
2.
The Retrieve More dialog box is displayed.
3.
Choose one of the following:

For a message with fewer than 500 characters left, tap the
“Get Rest” button.
䊳
For a message that has more than 500 characters
remaining, tap either “Get Next” or “Get Rest”.
Any message that is not completely downloaded is saved for 30
days on the network. After 30 days, the message is deleted.
Displaying Header Information
Complete header information can be displayed which
includes:

Distribution Lists
䊳
“From:”, “Subj:”, and “Date:” fields
By default, the iMessenger displays abbreviated header
information. This includes the “From:” and “Subj:” fields.
More than 50,000
Palm.net returns a message to the sender that
says “Undeliverable Message”.
