The Notifications options allow you to select how your handset
informs you of new messages. There are two choices:

Message and Icon

: a popup message appears onscreen

to alert you that new messages are waiting. Additionally,
an icon appears near the top of the screen.

: an icon appears near the top of screen. For

example,

appears when you have a new text

message.
