Formatting a Card
You have to format a card before using it.
If you format a card, all the data
saved on the card will be removed.
Make sure to backup data before
formatting a card if data has been
saved to the card.

Select
Start > Computer
.

Right-click over the card drive and
select
Format
from the pop-up menu.

If you click
Start
, formatting will
begin.
To use a card to exchange
data with a digital device such
as a digital camera, formatting
the card in the digital device is
recommended.
Some digital devices may fail to
recognize a card formatted on a
computer. In this case, you have to
format the card in the digital device.
