Put the CD player on a horizontal, vibration-free
and stable surface. Make sure it is a safe
place, where the player is not a danger or an
obstacle to the driver and passengers.
Only use the supplied SCJ-1 DC car adaptor (4.5 V, DC) and
the STA-1 car cassette adaptor. Any other product
may damage the unit.

Connect the DC plug of the DC car adaptor to the 4.5V DC IN of the
CD player
(for a 12V car battery only, negative grounding).

In-car use
Insert the DC car adaptor into the cigarette lighter socket. If necessary,
clean the cigarette lighter socket to obtain good electrical contact.

Turn down the volume and connect the car cassette adaptor plug to
the LINE OUT of the CD player.

Carefully insert the car cassette adaptor into the car radio’s cassette
compartment.

Start the CD player and adjust the sound with the car radio controls.

• You cannot use this car cassette adaptor with some car cassette deck.
•
Do not expose to strong sunlight or very high temperatures.
• If your car radio has a LINE IN socket, use the LINE IN socket for the car radio
connection instead of the cassette adaptor. Connect the signal lead to this LINE
IN socket and the LINE OUT socket of the CD player.
• Make sure the cord does not hinder your driving.
• Always remove the DC car adaptor from the cigarette lighter socket when the
CD player is not in use.
Note
If no sound is heard or the car cassette adaptor is removed, change the playback direction on
the car cassette deck.
To remove the car cassette adaptor, press the (eject) button of the car cassette deck.
