6.6 ISDN TERMINAL EQUIPMENT (ISDN phone, G4 FAX, etc)

ISDN Terminal Equipment (TE) can be connected to any circuit on the BRI card if installed. As de-
scribed in section 5.4, the system provides S
0
as well as T
0
application on a port basis. The sys-
tem requires MDF connection for a BRI card and the connection can be made through the Champ
connector. See Figure 2-3 and refer to section 2.5 (MDF Cabling).
Use two pair twisted wires and connect each ISDN TE to the BRI port of your choice via the
Champ connector on the base board.
Note that the DCS Compact BRI card does not provide power to the ISDN terminal equipment.
