4. Set up the PuTTY console with the following parameters:
–
Serial line is the COM port number found previously as described above
–
Set speed to 115200
–
Set connection type to Serial
–
Name and save the session. That way it can be reopened later by double-clicking on the saved session
name

Click
Open
. Initially, the screen will be blank.
Reset the ARTIK Module
6. Reset the ARTIK development kit by pressing and holding the ARTIK module PWR_KEY button until the
PWR_KEY LED next to the button goes off. This LED which is located right next to the PWR_KEY button on the
Interposer board. Then press and hold the PWR_KEY button again until the LED comes back on. For the exact
location of this button, refer to
Figure 3
.
Login to the ARTIK Development Kit
7.
When prompted to log in, use the following:

login: root
–
password: root
After entering the login and password, the ARTIK development kit displays a Linux window similar to the one shown
below:
