Shipment and on-site transport
1.
Replace two bolts on opposite sides of
the diaphragm case with eyebolts or
swivel hoists.
2. Attach the sling to these lifting eyelets
and to the rigging equipment (e.g. hook)
of the crane or forklift.
3.
Carefully lift the actuator. Check whether
the lifting equipment and accessories can
bear the weight.
4.
Move the actuator at an even pace to the
mounting site.
5.
Mount the actuator onto the valve (see
the 'Installation' section).
6.
Remove slings after mounting.

b) Lifting the entire control valve
assembly
In order to lift an entire control valve assem-
bly, the slings attached to the valve body
must bear the entire load. The slings between
the lashing points on the actuator and rig
-
ging equipment (hook, shackle etc.) must not
bear any load. The slings only protect the
control valve from tilting while being lifted.
Before lifting the control valve, tighten the
slings.
