Checking belt tension involves measuring belt strand deflection and should be performed
through inspection openings in the guard, which are plugged with rubber plugs, or upon dismounting
the guard.
In order to check the tension apply a load of 100N ~ 10kg in the belt strand half length L what gives
the deflection value U which should be 3

Adjusting tension of V-belts
In order to perform adjustment of V-belts' tension follow the instructions:
1.
Untighten nuts (

), and the remove bolts (

) (
). To facilitate bolts (
2
) removal, slightly
turn the tensioner with key (
3
) no. 36 counter-clockwise.
2.
In order to tension the belt turn the tensioner with key (
3
) counter-clockwise and position, so as
it is possible to put back bolts (
2
). Then check tensioning of the belts according to item 6.2.
The tensioner can be either tightened or loosened, if necessary.
3.
Assemble the tensioner in a reverse order as the procedure given in step 1 above, paying
attention to bolt tightening torques from
Tab. 3.
