SAM COACH™

POWER

The power entry module is located on the back of the ball machine. Unless  designated otherwise, the
SAM Coach™ requires 110 Volts. The power on/off switch and fuse are also on the back of the
machine.

FEED

To turn the ball feed ON press the green oval button marked BALL FEED ON/ OFF. This will start the
ball feed carousel rotating. The feed control button (located on the far left of the control panel) adjust

the timing between shots. The feed adjustment goes from 1 - 9 with 1 as the slowest (8 seconds) and
9 the fastest (1.5 seconds)

NOTE: For safety reasons, if no balls have been fired for 20 seconds, the ball feed shuts off
automatically and must be turned on again.

SPEED

This control adjusts the speed of the balls shot from the machine. There are 20 speed settings. Speed
setting 1 is approximately 20 mph and speed setting 20 is approximately 90 mph. When changing
speeds, allow a few seconds for the throwing wheels to settle to the new speeds.

SPIN

This control is calibrated with 0 as the no spin (flat ball) position, 1 to 5 as the top spin position and -1

to -5 as the back spin positions.

ELEVATION

The elevation position is adjusted manually by the elevation handle on the right side of the machine.
Turn the handle forward (clockwise) to raise the elevation and backwards (counter-clockwise) to lower

the elevation.
