Cleaning and care of the seal on the cooking compartment door
The service life of the seal is very dependent on its care. Harsh cleaning materials attack the
seal material and accelerate wear.
Cleaning the seal

Remove the seal and clean in grease-dissol-
ving detergent, rinse and dry.

Rub a thin coat of food quality maintenance
emulsion or cooking oil into the seal.

Thoroughly clean and dry the seal seat.

Insert the seal.

If the seal is no longer providing an ade-
quate seal, soak in cooking oil overnight.

The seal must be replaced if is worn.

Cleaning the cooking compartment and the drip tray

Turn off appliance and let it cool down.

Place the core temperature sensor and its
lead in the cooking compartment.

Unhook the shelf support rails, remove and
clean with grease-dissolving cleaning mate-
rial or in a dishwasher.

Clean the cooking compartment with a gre-
ase-dissolving cleaning agent and rub dry.
.
Clean the drain screen and replace.

If limescale has built up

clean the cooking compartment with a de-
calcifying cleaning agent
−
regenerate the softener, see page 60
section 8.
