41.  If bread gets jammed, unplug the appliance, let it cool down fully, then carefully remove

the bread that’s jamming it.  Don’t use anything sharp, such as a knife or fork, you may

damage the elements and may be at risk of electric shock.

42.

Don’t toast “buttered” items or try to make toasted sandwiches in the toasting slot, as

this will create a fire hazard.

43.

Don’t use torn, curled up, or broken slices of bread, as these may jam the eject

mechanism.

44. Clean the crumbs out of the toasting slot frequently.   A build-up of crumbs is unhygienic

and could cause a fire hazard.

PLEASE NOTE

: When this appliance is used for the first time, the unit will emit a smell of

burning and some smoke. This is normal and is caused by the insulation on the elements and

some dust particles on the elements. Before using the unit to cook, place the unit in a well-

ventilated area. Switch on the grill and the toaster - allow them to heat for approximately 10

minutes. The smell and smoke will stop after approximately 10-15 minutes.
