CLEANING THE BODY

Wipe  the  body  and  handle  with  a  soft  cloth  dampened  with  a  small  amount  of

proprietary disinfectant.

Do not put the body in a dishwasher.

Do not immerse any part of the body or handle in water or any other liquid.

Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners or solvents.

This appliance is for household use only and is not user serviceable.

Do not open or change any parts by yourself.  Please refer to a qualified electrical

service department or return to the supplier if servicing is necessary.

Always remember to unplug the unit from the power socket when not in use and

before cleaning.

Slicing Hints

Always place food to be sliced on a wooden or plastic cutting board. Do not slice

food  onchina,  porcelain,  metal  or  bench  tops,  as  scratching  may  occur.  Guide

blades  through  food.  A  sawing  motion  is  not  necessary.  Do  not  force  blades

through food. To maintain the sharpness of the blades, do not cut through frozen

foods, bones, fruit pips or stones or any other hard substances.

Try  to  cut  across  the  grain  of  the  meat.  Although  cutting  along  the  grain  gives

bigger  slices,  they  tend  to  be  tough  and  stringy.  Steady  the  meat  with  a  carving

fork.

Leg of lamb

Lay the roast on its side and steady it with the carving fork.

Make one cut right down to the bone.

Slice  alternatively  on  either  side  of  the  cut,  tilting  the  knife  gradually  to  increase

the size of the slices.

Turn the leg over and do the same to the other side.
