CARE AND CLEANING
1. All servicing, other than cleaning, should be performed by an
authorized service representative. See Warranty section.
2. Unplug Kettle from wall outlet. Empty the Kettle and allow it to cool
before cleaning.
Exterior
- Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior.
-
DO NOT use abrasive cleaners. Dry exterior thoroughly before use.
-
DO NOT immerse kettle or power base in water or other liquid.
3. Descaling
Under normal use, scale build-up will form on the inside of the kettle
and will coat the stainless steel plate. Scale, which has accumulated
inside the kettle must be removed by boiling equal parts of white
vinegar and water (500ml/ 2 cups of each is recommended). Once
the water has boiled, allow the mixture to stand several hours or
overnight. Empty out mixture and fill kettle to the MAX level with
fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard. For heavy scale
build-up, use pure vinegar and let stand overnight. Empty out vinegar
and fill kettle to the MAX level with fresh water. Bring water to a boil
and discard.
This descaling process should be repeated periodically.
NOTE: Scale build-up can be delayed by pouring out water after use
then refilling the kettle when required.
