narrow end into the bottom hole that you can see by looking down the
spout from the outside of the Kettle. Push down gently on the top
edge of the Filter and slide the tab at the wide end of the Filter into the
top hole of the spout.
3. Removing the Filter
Press down on the top edge of the Filter to release the top tab then
the bottom tab will release.
4. Descaling
Under normal use, scale build-up will form on the inside of the kettle
and will coat the stainless steel plate. Scale, which has accumulated
inside the kettle must be removed by boiling equal parts of white
vinegar and water (500ml/ 2 cups of each is recommended). Once
the water has boiled, allow the mixture to stand several hours or
overnight. Empty out mixture and fill kettle to the MAX level with fresh
water. Bring water to a boil and discard. For heavy scale build-
up, use a solution of pure vinegar, and let stand overnight. Empty out
vinegar and fill kettle to the MAX level with fresh water. Bring water to
a boil and discard.
This descaling process should be repeated once a month
NOTE: Scale build-up can be delayed by pouring out water after use
then refilling the kettle when required.
