16.Fill the water reservoir of this appliance with water only. Do not fill with  

  other liquids or foods, except when following the specific instructions  

  in this guide for descaling or cleaning the machine.

17.To disconnect ensure that the Coffee Maker is off then remove the  

  plug from the wall outlet.  Always hold the plug, never pull the cord.

POLARIZED PLUG  

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).  

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet 

only one way.  If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.  

If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.  Do not modify the 

plug in any way.

BEFORE FIRST USE 
 

1.  Carefully unpack the Coffee Maker and all parts. Remove any tape,  

  labels or packaging materials.

2.  Wash Water Tank Filter, Drip Tray, Drip Tray Cover, K-Cup® Capsule  

  Holder and Ground Coffee Filter Basket with warm, soapy water.
