SETTING THE TONE
Press
B
briefl y twice while the player is playing an MP3 track.
EQ
will appear fl ashing on the display for three seconds; dur-
ing this time you can use the
buttons to select the desired setting. You can choose from the following equalizer
settings to best match the music you are playing: classical, jazz, rock, bass, normal. Normal is the factory default setting
that does not change the tone in any way.
• The equalizer is not available when the FM receiver is active.
• When you turn off the player it reverts to the normal setting.
• When you are listening to audio at a higher volume, it is recommended to select the normal mode, as other settings can
cause distortion.
USING THE FM RECEIVER
When you turn on the player, the FM receiver will come on if no USB stick or SD card is connected. If the product starts
playing an MP3 track automatically, you can switch to the FM receiver by pressing and holding 4/ for 2 seconds. (You can
switch back from the FM receiver to MP3 playback in the same way.)
MANUAL TUNING
Press the
buttons briefl y to manually tune in to the desired station. The top row of the display shows the cur-
rent frequency.
• If you press and hold the
buttons for a longer time, that will adjust the volume.
• After turning the player off and back on, the display will show the last used frequency.
• If the radio signal is weak, plug in the earphones, because their wire also serves as an antenna. For best reception, do not
coil up the wire. You can also improve reception if you do not insert the earphone plug all the way in: in that case, volume
will not be reduced because the earphones are connected.
• If a USB/SD device is still connected while you are listening to the radio, that can also sometimes reduce the quality of
radio reception.
AUTOMATIC TUNING / SELECTING STORED STATIONS
Press
A
briefl y. The product will start seeking from the lowest frequency, and all stations with a suffi ciently strong signal
will be stored. While tuning is in progress, you can see the current slot between CH1 and CH29 on the display. When the
player has fi nished tuning, you can step through the program slots by pressing
B
. At any time you can press
to return
to the fi rst one, and press
B
again repeatedly to select the desired slot. (You can step to the next and previous slot using
the remote control’s CH+/CH- buttons too.)
• Keep in mind that the receiver may skip weaker stations, and you cannot in
fl
uence the order in which the stations are
stored.
• If you are using the receiver at a distant place from the location where you originally stored a station (e.g., when you are
traveling), you may need to
fi
nd the same station again at a different frequency. The same stations often air at different
frequencies in different geographical locations.
• If a memory slot is already in use, then its current value is cleared and the player stores the new frequency there.
• After turning the player off and back on, the display will show the last used frequency.
• If the radio signal is weak, plug in the earphones, because their wire also serves as an antenna. For best reception, do not
coil up the wire. You can also improve reception if you do not insert the earphone plug all the way in.
