DSC calls
4. Lift the cover of the red distress button and push the
Distress button
for 3
seconds.
Receiving distress calls
When the radio receives a distress call, the 2-
tone alarm sounds. Types of distress calls are
DISTRESS, DISTRESS ACK, DISTRESS RELAY
and DISTR. RELAY ACK.
1. To switch off the 2-tone alarm press the
soft key
SILENCE
. A press on
any other key
also switches off the 2-tone alarm.
2. Press the soft key
VIEW
to display further information. If engaged in other
communications press
ACTIVE
to engage in the received DSC call.

Select the nature of distress:
FIRE, EXPLOSION
FLOODING
COLLISION
GROUNDING
LISTING (in danger of capsizing)
SINKING
DISABLED (and adrift)
UNDESIGNATED
ABANDONING (ship)
PIRACY (armed robbery attack)
MAN OVERBOARD
EPIRB
LAT:
LON:
POS UTC:
Enter the position and UTC information or unknown of
the vessel in distress.
