WARNING:
• Please read instructions carefully before
assembling and using this product. Failure to do so
could result in serious injury.
• Suitable for children in the age of 18 months to 5
years. Maximum weight 22.7 kg (50 lbs). Only use
for children who can get in and out of bed
unassisted.
• This Bed Guard should not be used as a
substitute for a cot, as it cannot provide the same
level of safety as a cot.
• For use with beds that are a minimum length of
140 cm, and mattresses with a depth of max. 20
cm.
• Always ensure that the Bed Guard, when in the
locked position or when placed in the fi tted
position, is fi rmly pushed against the mattress.
• Once fi tted, the Bed Guard should be checked
regularly to ensure that it is properly fi tted and
secure and the fi xings are in place.
• The Bed Guard should be periodically checked
for its general condition with particular reference
to the security of any locking mechanism and/or
hinges that are used on the product.
• Additionnal or replacement parts should be
obtained only from the manufacturer.
• The Bed Guard should not be used on a sleeping
surface that is more than 600mm from the fl oor.
WARNING :
To prevent the risk of strangulation it
is essential to ensure that when the bedguard is
fi tted into position, there is a gap of at least 250
mm (10 in), between each end of the bed and the
corresponding end of the bedguard.

Cleaning instructions:
IMPORTANT! To clean wipe with a damp cloth and
dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Do
not immerse in water.
Advice from Safety 1st:
• Always keep an eye on the child, since children
quickly become more independent.
• Continue use with the traditional child cot until
your child is able to climb out of the cot.
• Not suitable for use with bunk beds, youth beds,
infl atable mattresses or waterbeds.
• Discontinue use if damaged, broken or if parts
are missing.
• This product is not a toy. Ensure that children do
not play with the Bed Guard or use as a ladder.
