Troubleshooting

Problem

Parent’s Unit power indicator
does not illuminate /or light
is amber

Possible Cause

Parent’s Unit is not turned on

Batteries are low or dead

AC Adapter not properly connected

Solution

Slide the volume control on 

Charge batteries

Make certain that any light switches
that control the power flow to the wall
outlet are on (when using AC)

Check AC Adapter jack-to-socket and
plug-to-outlet connections

Parent’s Unit has no sound
or sound breaks up

Volume not turned up

Signal interference due to microwaves,
monitors, cellular or cordless
telephones, etc.

Out of range

Adjust the volume control on the
Parent’s Unit

Turn the Baby’s Unit and Parent’s Unit
off, wait a moment then turn them
back on

Bring Parent’s Unit closer to Baby’s
Unit

Audio feedback (squealing)

Baby’s Unit is too close to the Parent’s
Unit

Move the Baby’s Unit further away
from the Parent’s Unit

Lower the volume on the Parent’s Unit

Weak sound coming from
Parent’s Unit

Out of range

Batteries are low 

Operate Parent’s Unit closer to the
Baby’s Unit

Recharge batteries

Baby’s and Parent’s Units may be set
on different channels

Local interference from electrical or
radio frequency appliance near your
location

Units may be too far away from each

Static or interference in the
signal transmission

Make sure both units are on the same
channel (I or II)

Turn off the appliances that may be
causing interference

Switch channel setting on both Parent
and Baby Units

Reduce the distance between the two
units

devices. Conversations, even from rooms nearby, may be broadcast.
