Turning off Windows Firewall
To turn Windows Firewall off, first, click
Start
>
Control Panel
.
Once in the
Control Panel
, type
firewall
in the search box (Fig. 42). Once you have got the search results,
click the
Windows Firewall
link.

The
Windows Firewall
dialog will show up (Fig. 43). This dialog will display the network type your computer
is connected to. On Figure 43, this type is
Public networks
; you can see the
Connected
note opposite to this
network type. You will need to disable Windows Firewall for
Public networks
.

To do so, first click
Turn Windows Firewall on or off
(Fig. 44).
