Model KD 101LB
Can be used with SafeHome Wireless Alarm System
Introduction
The smoke alarm can be used as single unit or several
SafeHome Smoke Alarms can be linked together in a system. If one smoke alarm
detects smoke and sounds, all the other connected alarms will sound together.
In addition, the smoke alarm can be connected to the SafeHome Wireless Alarm Sys-
tem by SafeHome Siren Sensor.
Placement
Since smoke pulls upwards, it is recommended to mount the alarm on the ceiling in
the middle of a room.
The smoke alarm should be located more than 1 meter from walls or corners.
Remember to take notice of ventilation systems in the room.
Do not place the detector:
• In places where the temperature drops below -10 °C or exceeds 40 °C.
• Bathrooms, laundry rooms or kitchens where humidity exceeds 90% RH.
• In a garage where exhaust can activate the alarm.
• In rooms where people smoke or where there is excessive amounts of dust or high
humidity.
