Problem Possible cause solution
The machine does not switch
on.
The machine is not connected to the
power supply.
Connect the machine to the power supply.
The pump is very noisy. No water in the tank. Refill with water (section 4.4).
The coffee is too cold.
The multifunction indicator (14) was
flashing during coffee brewing.
Wait until the indicator is permanently on.
The cups are cold. Preheat the cups with hot water.
The coffee is brewed too fast,
crema does not form.
Old or not suitable capsule. Change the used capsule.
Coffee is not brewed or
brewed in drips only.
Water tank is empty. Refill with water (section 4.4).
The machine has limescale build-up. Descale the machine (section 10).
Not suitable capsule. Change the type of capsule.
The machine is not dispensing
hot water.
Hot water wand spout clogged.
Clean the spout with a needle.
Before performing this operation, turn
off the machine, let it cool down, and
turn the dispensing knob (12) to the
central position.
The capsule compartment is
not closed.
The capsule is not inserted correctly.
Check the capsule position; if necessary,
replace it.
The lever is not completely raised.
Raise the capsule compartment opening
lever completely, and try to close it again.

Meaning of the warning
Steady green light The machine is ready for espresso coffee brewing and hot water dispensing.
Flashing green light The machine is warming up for espresso coffee brewing and/or hot water dispensing.
Steady yellow light The machine is ready for filter coffee brewing.
Flashing yellow light The machine is warming up for filter coffee brewing.
Steady red light Prime the water circuit; fill the water tank and dispense hot water.
Slow flashing red light
The boiler’s temperature is too high: prime the water circuit. Dispense hot water until
the indicator light becomes green.
Fast flashing red light
Selection knob in the wrong position. To return to the correct operation and repeat
the procedure, turn the knob back to the central position.
Opening of the capsule compartment during coffee brewing or hot water dispensing.
