16x digital input – counter reading register
Is reset to 0 at each restart and at each voltage recovery.
If the respective assigned prescaler register contains the
value 0 (default), then it is a normal up-counter.
Otherwise it is a down-counter, which when reaching 0 is
loaded with the value of the prescaler register, and the bit
is set in the prescaler zero-status. That can be read and
“MUST” be reset manually by writing.
In this way a prescaler function can be realised.
