AIR FILTER
•
Check the air filter housing for dirt or obstruction of the filter.
WARNING: Never run the engine without the air filter.
FUEL
•
Make sure the engine is STOPPED.
•
Remove fuel cap (6) and fill up regular unleaded petrol.
•
Never use oil/petrol mixture or dirty fuel. Avoid getting dirt,
dust or water in the tank.
CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
STARTING ENGINE
•
Starting cold: move the throttle lever (7) to the “CHOKE”
position. (Fig.6)
Starting hot: Use the “RUN” position if the engine is warm.

Pull the starter grip (8) lightly until resistance is felt, then pull
briskly. (Fig.8)
•
When the engine warms up, move the throttle to the “RUN”
position.
STOPPING ENGINE
•
Move the throttle control lever to the “STOP” position. (Fig.9)
CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (Fig.10)
To adjust the cutting height, pull the lever away from mower and
then move it forward or backward to select desired cutting height.
NOTE: For rough or uneven lawns, move the height adjustment
lever to higher position to avoid scalping.
EMPTY THE GRASS CATCHER
Remove the grass catcher from the mower, and lift it straight
up by holding the rear handle of the grass catcher. The grass
chipping will fall out.
NOTE: Before emptying the grass catcher, make sure the engine
is STOPPED.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Be sure to disconnect and ground the engine spark
plug wire before performing any repairs or maintenance.
Note: When tipping the mower, empty the fuel tank and keep the
engine spark plug side up. Never tip the mower more than 90
degree and do not leave the mower tipped for any length of time.
Oil can drain into the upper part of the engine causing a starting
problem.
