REPLACING THE BLADE
See Figures 7 - 8.
NOTE:
Always ask for replacement blade model number
AC 45E.
Replace blades that are damaged or worn. To increase
blade life span, keep initial cutting depth at minimum and
increase depth setting only as blade wears.
Stop the motor and unplug the edger.
Use a 26 mm wrench to hold the inner flange washer.
Use a 16 mm socket wrench to turn the blade nut
counterclockwise to loosen.
Remove blade nut, outer flange washer, blade, and
inner flange washer.
Reinstall the inner flange washer onto the edger
shaft.
Center the new blade on the inner flange washer.
Make sure the blade sits flat.
Install the outer flange washer onto the edger shaft.
Use a 26 mm wrench to hold the inner flange washer.
Install the blade nut onto the edger shaft.
Use a 16 mm socket wrench to turn the blade nut
clockwise and tighten securely.
NOTE:
Always make sure the blade is correctly
installed and securely fastened before each use.
STORING THE EDGER
Depress telescoping shaft and adjust to the shortest
setting.
Remove all the foreign materials from the edger.
Store it in a place that is inaccessible to children.
Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden
chemicals and de-icing salts.
