CLEAN KIT
5. MAINTENANCE
Basic maintenance of your Hand Launcher and accessories will ensure smooth operation.
-
Store Hand Launcher and nozzles in the heavy-duty case provided.
-
Keep the projectiles away from direct sunlight to avoid deterioration and discoloration.
-
Keep Hand Launcher and nozzles clean (lukewarm water and soap can be used for cleaning the
launcher and nozzles).
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
Issue: Projectile remains lodged in hose, tube, or pipe.
Possible Solution:
1. Operate launcher and shoot air from the other end without using a Projectile.
2. Check if the air pressure is adequate. The optimum air input pressure range for the RYCO CLEAN Kit
Hand Launcher to operate effectively is between 87 psi (6 bar) and 110 psi (7,5 bar). A larger diameter air
supply hose can be used if pressure is insufficient (3/8” recommended).
3. Check for any contractions and expansions of the airline.
4. If the hose / tube has multiple exit points, close all exits except for the one the projectile is intended to exit.
Once the projectile is out of the hose / tube, check for any tears as this may indicate foreign obstructions or
deformities in the inside of the hose / tube.
Issue: Projectile will not shoot from the nozzle of the launcher.
Possible Solution:
1. Ensure that the hose / tube entry is not restricted.
2. Check if the air supply is connected and locked to the Hand Launcher properly.
4. Ensure the correct nozzle and projectile are selected for the application as per the Projectile Selection Chart.
5. Repeat the process with a smaller projectile and matched nozzle (but suitably sized).
Issue: Difficulty in inserting the nozzle into the retaining ring of the launcher.
Possible Solution:
1. Lubricate the O-ring on the retaining ring with suitable lubricant. Use lubricant sparingly.
