
REPLACING THE CHAIN DRUM
To
replace
the
Chain
Drum
on
the
machine,
open
the
protective
cover
by
unlocking
the
locking
nut
on
the
side.
To remove the Drum from the shaft, block the
gearbox
by
pressing
the
button
on
the
gear
house.
Turn
the
Chain
Drum
anticlockwise
to
remove it from the shaft.
When
replacing
the
Chain
Drum
or
Wire
Brush,
it is important that it is replaced with the
correct
side
outwards.
The
longer
length
of
the
spindle
should
be
facing
the
motor.
The
opposite
side
is
blanked
off.
Always
disconnect
the
power
supply
before
dismantling the Rustibus machine.
WARNING
When
connecting,
changing,
or
repairing
the
Rustibus
angle
de-scaler,
the
power
supply
must
always
be
disconnected
REPLACING THE CARBON BRUSHES (032-2132)
1) Open the Cover (032-2101) on both sides of the machine.
(Both Carbon Brushes are to be replaced at the same time)
2) The Carbon Brushes are kept in position with a spring on the Brush Holder (032-2120).
Move the spring sideways with a small, flat screwdriver.
3) Take the Carbon Brush out of the Brush Holder.
4) Disconnect the Carbon Brush from the Electric Field (032-2105) and remove it.
5) Take a new Carbon Brush and reconnect it to the Electric Field.
6) Place the new Carbon Brush into the Brush Holder.
7) Re-position the spring with a small, flat screwdriver to secure the Carbon Brush.
8) Close both Covers. The machine is now ready for use again.
