rating plate (the rating plate is found on the bottom of the base plate).
• Connect the kettle to a working electrical outlet 230V~50Hz.

SHUTOFF
There are two ways to turn off the kettle:
• The kettle turns off automatically when the water boils.
• Turn off the kettle with the power switch.
WARNING! Turn off the kettle before removing the kettle from the base plate. When
the bottom part of the power switch is pressed, the kettle is on. The kettle must also
be turned off when you put the kettle on the base plate.
WARNING! Risk of burns! The lid must be closed when you pour the water out of
the kettle. Remember that the outside of the kettle becomes hot while the water is
boiling. Let the kettle cool down completely before you place it in storage.
• Remove the plug from the electrical outlet when you have turned off the kettle.
• The indicator light goes out.
• Empty the kettle.
CLEANING
WARNING! Always turn off the kettle and remove the plug from the electrical outlet
before cleaning. Let the kettle cool. Never immerse the kettle or base plate in water
or other liquid.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
• Rinse out the kettle with clean water and wipe with a cloth.
• Clean the kettle’s surface with a slightly damp cloth.
• The pour spout has a permanent filter. Lift the lid, take out the filter and rinse under
running water. Replace the filter.
DECALCIFICATION
• How often the kettle must be decalcified depends on how often the kettle is used and
on the water hardness.
• The kettle should be decalcified when it automatically turns off before the water starts
to boil.
•
DO NOT
use vinegar for decalcification – use citric acid-based agent available in
stores. Follow instructions on the packaging.
NOTE! In order to remove residue from decalcification agent, boil water after
decalcification about 4–5 times. Fill the kettle with new fresh cold water each time.
The water is not drinkable!
