USING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME
IMPORTANT! Use the waffle iron for the first time without any mix inside.
1. Remove all the packaging before using it for the first time and wipe with a slightly
damp cloth.
2. Put
the waffle iron in a
location where you can fully open the lid.
3. Brush the heating plates with butter or margarine (use a brush, cloth or kitchen
towel). You only need to do this once to seal the heating plates.
4. Close the lid. (The lid must always be closed before switching the waffle iron on).
5. Put the plug into the socket. The blue indicator light turns on.
6. It takes approximately 4–5 minutes to heat up the iron. The green indicator light turns
on when the waffle iron is heated up to the selected temperature.
7. When you use it for the first time, smoke may come out of the waffle iron and it may
smell. This is completely normal.
8. Take the plug out of the socket after the waffle iron has heated up and let it cool
down.
9. Clean the inside as described in the section on CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
10. The waffle iron is now ready to use.
USE
1. Put the plug into the socket and set the desired temperature. The blue indicator light
turns on when the waffle iron is on.
2. It takes approximately 4–5 minutes to heat up. The green indicator light turns on
when the appliance has reached the set temperature.
The waffle iron must be empty when heating it up.
