Always follow the safety rules. The chainsaw should only
be used to cut wood. It is forbidden to cut other types of
material. Vibration and kickback vary depending on the
material and the requirements of the safety guidelines
would not be met. Do not use the chain saw as a surface
for lifting, moving or cutting objects. It is not necessary to
force the saw to cut. Apply gentle pressure while the
engine is running at full throttle. Accelerating the engine
with the chain caught in a cut can cause damage to the clutch system. When the chain
saw chain is caught in the cut, do not try to force it out, but use a wooden wedge or jack
to open the slot.
The chainsaw is equipped with a chain brake, which will
stop it in case of kickback if operated properly. You should
check the operation of the chain brake before each use by
testing the saw at full speed for 1-2 seconds and pushing

front forward guard. The chain should stop immediately
with the engine running at full throttle. If the chain stops with
difficulty, after a longer duration or does not stop, stop using the chain saw and replace
the brake band and clutch drum or go to a RURIS service unit to have the problem fixed.
It is extremely important that the chain brake is checked for proper operation before each
use and that the chain is sharpened to maintain safe recoil.
Removal of safety devices, improper maintenance or incorrect replacement of the bar or
chain can increase the risk of serious injury from kickback.
10.2 MEASURES TO PREVENT KICKBACK
ATTENTION!
Kickback can occur when the tip of the guide bar comes into contact with an object or
when the wood closes and catches the saw chain in the cut. Contact in the upper portion
can cause a rapid, reverse reaction that redirects the guide bar up and back toward the
