5.3 MIG / FLUX WELDING
The processes MIG (solid wire) and Flux (flux wire) have different
polarities.
To switch between them, follow these instructions:
1. Make sure the device is unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Open the side door of the device.
3. Take out the polarity terminal blocks.
4. Configure the polarity (as shown below) by removing the cable from the terminal and
reversing if necessary.
NOTE: Make sure that the polarity terminal blocks are tightened with the locknuts.
When changing the wire, always check that the feed cylinders, the shape and size of the
groove and the thread sleeve are suitable for the thread you are using. Also check that
you are using the correct polarity for the filler wire.
1. Solid wire welding. Make sure the device is set to positive polarity as shown in the
pictures below.
