Lamp Replacement The lamp should be replaced when it reaches the end of its life (typically 2000 hours), or
sooner if a noticeable degradation in brightness occurs. When you replace a lamp, you
should replace the filters as well.
For lamp or filter replacement, plea s e contact your neare s t Runco authorized
s ervice center or Runco dealer. Do not attempt to replace the lamp your s elf!
1. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. Allow the projector to cool down for
approximately 45 minutes prior to removing the lamp assembly for replacement.
2. Loosen and remove the rear Lamp Cover screw.
3. Slide the Lamp Cover in the direction of the
arrow to remove it.
4. Loosen the two, captive lamp assembly
mounting screws using a coin or a large,
flat-blade screwdriver.
5. Grasp the lamp assembly handle and pull gently,
removing the lamp module from the projector
housing.
5. Maintenance and Trouble s hooting
The VX-22i lamp is under high pressure. Handle it with great care at
all times. Lamps may explode if dropped or mishandled.
Never attempt to disassemble the lamp casing or dispose of the
lamp casing in any manner other than by returning it to your Runco
dealer.
If the lamp breaks, leave the area immediately and stay away for at
least 30 minutes. Ventilate the room to allow the mercury vapor to
disperse.
If you inhale the mercury vapor, see a physician immediately.
