Applicable regulations
Rüegg fire inserts are type-tested and approved according to DIN EN13229.
These assembly instructions were prepared in accordance with the Swiss “Stand-
der-Technik-Papier” [State-of-the-art Paper] by the VHP [Association of Swiss
Stove Fitter and Tile Businesses], version 1.1, and the applicable German regula-
tions in force.
All national and public regulations must be complied with.
When installing a Rüegg fire insert, in addition to the specifications of the present
assembly instructions, the local regulations, laws and provisions must be ob-
served. For example:

Building, trade and fire regulations

Emission protection laws or regulations

Air cleanliness provisions
-
Guidelines for Tiled Stove/Fireplace Construction

Fire safety regulations
-
Fire insurance guidelines
The compliance with the local legislations shall be the responsibility of the person
fitting the system.
Appliance installations must be carried out by certified experts only.
Checks before assembly
Immediately check the delivered goods for completeness and potential transport
damages.
Prior to assembly of the appliances, check the functionality of all movable parts.
Potential defects must be reported prior to assembly and facing of the appliance.
Remove the enclosed operation set together with the operating instructions
and personally submit them to the owner.
