SNMP Commands
SNMP-server community
Specifies the community access string for SNMP protocol v1/v2c.
NOTE: If the trans-tag is not an empty string, match the tag in the snmpTargetAddrTable
to search the snmpTargetParamsTable, then use the security name in the target-parameter
to set user authentication.
Command Mode: Global Configuration
Syntax
[no] SNMP-server community <CommunityIndex> community-name <Communi-
tyName> sec-name <SecurityName> trans-tag <TransportTagName | none>
[context-name <Name>]
Description
■
<CommunityIndex>
- Sets the community access string for SNMP v1&v2c and it must
be unique for every SNMP community table. May be a string of up to 32 characters.
■
community-name <CommunityName>
- Sets the community name. May be a string
of up to 32 characters.
■
sec-name <SecurityName>
- Sets the security name.
■
trans-tag <TransportTagName | none>
- Sets the transport tag list name. If
the trans-tag is empty (none), it is ignored for matching.
■
[context-name <Name>]
- Sets the context name. The default value is also default
for the context name.
■
no SNMP-server community
- Disables the SNMP-server community command.
