6.6. Sandwichscale and scale change
The unit is delivered with a visible horizontal scale and a vertical scale which
is mounted underneath.
For vertical mounting direction remove the upper horizontal scale by using
the added 'liftoff strip'.
You can also use a normal selfadhesive tape:
Press the selfadhesive tape onto the
right end (correlator side) of the
horizontal scale (fig 1).
Pull back the tape in direction of the
arrow (fig 2). The vertical scale can
be seen now; the unit is ready to be
installed.
Do not pull upwards ! Do not use force !
Important:
The correlator requires a correct setting by the use of the
mounting direction input for appropriate display in vertical mode:
Series 115..G and 115..G-xx with 64 pin DIN-Connector 41612A/C:
Connect pin 18c to pin 19c
It is possible to order the Peakmeter series 115..G with a quasi analog scale
according to IRT 3/6 or IEC 268/10 standard (115..G-DIN).
It is not possible to change a 115..G version into a 115..G-DIN or
115..G-VU version or vice versa.
The 0 dB mark on a quasi analog scale equals the begin of the headroom
which can be set by the use of the corresponding hex-switch. As an
example: EBU recommendation for begin of headroom is -9 dB FS. On a
quasi analog scale 0 dB would then equal - 9 dB FS.
Series 115..G-VU peakmeter are preset to use a fixed lead of 6 dB.
