brushes and rollers are just so much easier if you use a water base paint. A chalk
paste can give a unique finish to walls and give a weathered look if so desired. If you
prefer to protect the paint work of your structure you can always apply a clear spray
coat.

LET’S GET STARTED WITH THE ASSEMBLY

First of all, we are going to glue the (

A 4 GIRDER LEGS

) (note that 2 are wider and

2 narrower) into the (

B BASE PLATE

) and the (

C TOP PLATE

). Apply some glue

where the nubs of the legs are going into the slots of the plates, but make sure that
you also apply some glue wherever two pieces make contact. You need to put a
small amount of glue down the side of the girders that is in contact with another
girder. A quick dry assembly will help you to identify these sides. Always use some
gentle pressure to ensure that lugs and slots fit snugly. It is very important that you
ensure your pylon is upright and plumb before the glue sets.

Before you proceed you will have to choose which of the four heads you are going to
use and select the relevant pieces and put them on your work surface. First of all,
you can glue the lugs of the two legs (

D

E

F

 or

G

) of the head you have chosen into

the slots of the (

C TOP PLATE

). If you have chosen a single head you can proceed

to glue the (

L CLOSURE PIECE

) into place. You will see the open slot on the low

end of the arm.

Before you can proceed to glue the roof or roofs onto the top of the legs of the head,
you will have to do the electrical installation. You will notice a hole in the base plate
and the top plate where you can feed your electricity wire through. You will glue the
one or two

LED DIODES

to the underside of the roof. (The top side of the roof is

engraved to give a corrugated iron look). Determine the position by checking the
opening of the (

K LIGHT OUTLETS

). Once you have glued your LED DIODES in

position and the glue have set, you can proceed to glue the roof (

J SINGLE ROOF)

or roofs (

H 2 DOUBLE ROOFS

) onto the top of the legs.

Lastly, you can glue the (

K LIGHT OUTLETS

) (use 2 for a double head or 1 for a

single head.) to the lugs on the underside of the legs.

Congratulations you have successfully assembled your light pylon. Connect the
electricity and lit up your track.

FINISHING & BRANDING

We leave the finishing to your imagination and your taste. Do whatever you think will
transform this completed as an integral part of your race track diorama.
