5. INFLATION AND DEFLATION
Follow the instructions below for the inflation valve and the procedure to be used for inflation and
deflation.
Using the valve
Your kayak is equipped with three different air chambers that require
inflation. All valves are located at the front of the boat.
There is a valve on each side tube and a valve on the kayak floor.
For inflation, make sure that the stem in the center of the valve is
in the upper position. If it is lowered, press it down and turn it
counterclockwise until it rises.
To deflate, press down on the rod, turn it clockwise until it locks in the
down position.
Be careful if there is sand or debris around the valve, it may be thrown
at the time of deflation.
Always replace the cap on the valve. This will prevent unwanted
deflation and the entry of unwanted particles into the inner tube.
Steps for inflation
1. Make sure that all valves are in the closed position (valve stem in the
upper position) to keep the air inside the tubes.
2. Press the pump nose into the valve receptacle.
3. Start pumping. First inflate the bottom of the kayak, then the side
walls. . If when you lift either side of the boat it does not bend,
the bottom of the kayak is properly inflated. The sides must be
inflated until the outer surface is smooth and free of any folds.
Conseil :
If the pump starts to make noise, apply silicone spray
to the piston.
