Wiring
Keypad
Install a 6-core cable (
RS
stock no. 365-587) between the
panel and the keypad. Connect units as shown in figure 3.
Note:
If the tamper circuit is used throughout the installation it
is recommended that an additional connector block
(such as
RS
stock no. 423-655) be used to loop the
tamper circuit between zones (see figure 4 for wiring
details).
Mains
A mains supply should be connected via an unswitched 3A
fused spur wired in accordance with the current IEE
regulations. The mains unit cable should be brought in a
separate entry to the panel to the low voltage cables.
If in
doubt consult a qualified electrician.
At this stage it is worth checking the panel for correct operation,
this can be done as follows:
1.
Check that the terminals marked Ô24 hour tamper, 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6 and PAÕ have loop connections as shown below:
Screw the lid on the control panel.
2.
Switch on the mains.
3.
Enter Ô1234Õ the buzzer will emit a steady sound and the
exit time start. Press the Ô*Õ key followed by the Ô9Õ key.
The exit buzzer will stop and all LEDs will light. After the
10 seconds LED test the internal sounder, which will
operate for 5 seconds, the control will then emit an accept
tone and revert to the ÔDAYÕ mode. You may end the test
at any time by pressing the Ô*Õ key.
4.
The test is now complete.
5.
Should the above not occur re-check your wiring and
repeat steps 1. to 4.
