Ignition System Check
1. Remove the spark plug and reattach it to the spark plug lead.
2. Turn ignition key to the “RUN” position. Slide the engine stop switch
to the “Run” position.Kick the start lever.
If the ignition system is operating properly, a blue spark should jump across
the spark plug gap. If there is no spark, take your machine to your Service center.
COMPLAINT: Engine stalls
1. Make sure there is enough fuel in the fuel tank.
2. Check to see that the spark plug is not fouled. Remove the spark plug
and clean it. Replace it, if necessary.
3. Make sure the fuel valve is not clogged, and the fuel tank is not clogged,
either.
4. Check the idle speed. If necessary, adjust it using a tachometer. The
correct idle speed is 1500
±150
r/min.
5. Make sure the air filter is clean.
