Charging the batteries
The battery must be charged before you can work with the appliance. To do this:

2.
Connect the AC adapter to a socket that carries the same voltage as that indicated on the AC adapter's
type plate (fig. 6).
3.
Make sure that the appliance is switched off and cannot be switched on by accident.
4.

fully charged.
ATTENTION:
Always transport or ship the appliance in its original packaging to avoid damage. Keep the packaging for
such an event.
Dispose of no longer needed packaging material properly.
NOTE:
Immediately contact your dealer if you have found damage resulting from transport.
ATTENTION:
Never store the charging station or the appliance outdoors or next to heat sources (e.g. stoves or radiators).
Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight. Heat and moisture might damage the appliance.
NOTE:
Instead of pushing the wall mount onto the base, you may fix it to a wall. For attaching it to a wall, the wall
mount has 3 grommets on its backside (fig. 4/detail A).
ATTENTION:
Wall mounting only by adept do-it-yourselfers! Make sure that the wall you want to attach the wall mount to
is sufficiently firm and stable. Before drilling, make sure there are no electric or water lines in the area of the
wall where you want to drill. Also follow the instructions of the drill manufacturer.
WARNING:
Improper charging of the batteries can cause injury!
Use only the supplied charging station and AC adapter for charging the batteries. Never charge the batteries
with another charging station or AC adapter.
NOTE:
The appliance cannot be charged when switched on.
NOTE:
The charging indicator is on continuously when the batteries are fully charged.
ATTENTION:
Take care to fully charge and then fully discharge the batteries. Incomplete charging and discharging cycles
can shorten battery life.
