The following statements and certifications apply specifically to the FrescaPure™ 3000 System.
IMPORTANT USE GUIDELINES
1. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the System.
Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used with disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts.
2. For this System to continue to perform as tested and represented, use only Genuine, Royal Prestige NSF Certified Replacement Car-
tridges.
3. Replace Battery at time of cartridge replacement (Models: FP 5000 & FP 4500 only) A Replacement Battery (CR 2032) is included with
the purchase of replacement cartridge (Type: RC-50-FP).
CAUTION
(Models: FP 5000 & FP 4500 only)
Once Battery has been replaced, do not remove Battery until it’s time to replace the
Cartridge again. Pre-mature removal of the Battery will cause the Filter Life Indicator to re-set the capacity to zero gallons, which is the
starting point for a new Cartridge.

Replacing tHe caRtRidge
(Model: FP3000)
The most important part of maintaining your Drinking Water System is replacing the Cartridge on a regular service interval. To insure that your
System continues to perform as represented in the Performance Data Section of this manual, the Cartridge should be replaced every twelve
months, when you notice a reduction in flow, when the rated capacity of the cartridge has been reached, or whenever there is a taste or odor
reoccurrence, whichever occurs first.
Be sure to insist on Genuine, Royal Prestige NSF Listed Replacement Cartridges. Genuine replacement cartridges for this System can be iden-
tified by the Royal Prestige Registered Trademark which appears on every Genuine, Royal Prestige NSF Listed Replacement Cartridge. Only
Genuine Royal Prestige Replacement Cartridges have been tested and certified to insure the performance represented in the Performance
Data Section of this manual. Failure to use Genuine, Royal Prestige Replacement Cartridges and replacement components will invalidate
your warranty.
The replacement cartridge for this System
(Type: RC-30-FP)
has a rated capacity of 480 gallons or approximately one year of use.
If you detect a reduction in flow rate, or any taste or odor re-occurrence prior to end of twelve months, this is an indication that you will need
to change the cartridge more frequently due to the water quality in your area.
You may order replacement cartridges online at www.RoyalPrestige.com or through your independent representative.
1. Remove the Lid Assembly by turning counterclockwise until it separates from the Filter Housing. As you remove the Lid Assembly, the
Cartridge will remain attached to the Lid Assembly.
RECOMMENDATION:
Rubber gloves should be worn to avoid direct contact with the contaminants removed by the used Cartridge.
2. Hold the Lid Assembly and rotate the Cartridge counterclockwise to remove. Discard the old cartridge with your regular refuse.
3. Wash the inside of the Filter Housing and Lid Assembly with warm water, a mild dishwashing detergent using a clean cloth.
CAUTION:
Do not use abrasive pads or other abrasive materials to clean the Filter Housing and the Lid Assembly.
4. Remove the plastic sanitary wrap from the new Cartridge. Thread the new Cartridge clockwise onto the threaded post on Lid Assembly
until you feel resistance. Make an additional quarter turn. Do not over-tighten.
5. Thread Lid Assembly firmly onto Filter Housing.
6. Turn “cold” water “on” and pull Diverter Pin. Carefully look for leaks around the fitting, clamp and threaded areas. In the event of a leak,
dis-assemble the connection where leak is present, re-assemble and tighten.
7. Position the Spout so that water will flow into sink. Turn on the cold water faucet and pull the Diverter Pin. Water will begin filling the Filter
Housing.
8. Allow System to flush into sink for fifteen (15) minutes. This procedure will remove any fine, black carbon particles left over from the
manufacturing process, expel trapped air and will condition the Cartridge for normal use. This procedure should be repeated each time a
new Cartridge is installed.
IMPORTANT:
Before using this System, or whenever a new Cartridge is installed, be sure to allow the System to flush for fifteen (15)
minutes. This procedure will remove fine, black carbon particles left over from the manufacturing process, expel trapped air, and will
condition the Cartridge for normal use.
Congratulations! Your new Drinking Water System is now ready for use.
