Start-up and operation
After removing the packaging and mounting on the wall bracket, the appliance can be put
into operation. Proceed as follows for this:
1. Make sure the temperature control (see Fig. 2a, No. 3) is
pointing on position "0" (see Fig. 2b) and the pilot lamp
(see Fig. 2, No. 2) is out. Then connect the appliance
to an earthed socket protected with an earth-leakage
circuit breaker.
2. Now switch on the appliance by turning the temperature
control (see Fig. 2, No. 3) clockwise to the desired heat
output. The red pilot lamp (see Fig. 2, No. 2) lights up.
3. Once the desired room temperature has been reached, turn the temperature control
(see Fig. 2, No. 3) anticlockwise until you hear a distinct click. The red pilot lamp goes
out. An integrated thermostat now automatically switches the appliance on and off,
thereby ensuring a more or less constant temperature.
When first put into operation or after a longer period without heating a short-term
odour can arise.
3.3
Switching off the appliance
1. Turn the temperature control (see Fig. 2, No. 3) anticlockwise until position "0" and the
pilot lamp goes out.
2. Pull the power plug out of the socket.
Wait until the appliance has cooled down before covering it or putting it away.
