1 • Assembling the elements
of the appliance
Push the flexible tube
(fig.1)
into the
suction opening and turn until it clicks into
place. To remove it, turn it in the opposite
direction and pull it. Fit the accessories clip
under the power nozzle
(fig.2)
and attach
the accessories on it
(fig.2)

Assemble the telescopic tube*
(fig.3)
.
Adjust it to the desired length
(fig.3)
.
Fit the appropriate accessory to the end of
the tube
(fig.4)

• For rugs and wall-to-wall carpeting: use the
head with brushes lifted.
• For parquets and smooth flooring: use the
nozzle with the brush extended or use the
parquet nozzle*.
• For corners and other areas that are difficult
to reach, use the crevice tool*.
• For furniture: use the upholstery nozzle*.
Shoulder strap*: remove the covers on either
side of the handle by pressing then turning
them. Clip the shoulder strap support* onto
the handle

. Fit the shoulder strap in
place of the covers with the attachment clips
and press then turn

Store the shoulder strap in its support

1 • Remove packaging
Take your appliance out of its packaging. Keep
your warranty card and carefully read the
operating instructions before using your
appliance for the first time.
2 • Hints and precautions
Before each use the supply cord should be
completely unwound. Do not allow it to become
trapped or be pulled over sharp edges.
If you use an extension cord, make sure that it is
in perfect condition and appropriate to the power
rating of your appliance. Never unplug the
appliance by pulling on the cord.
Do not move the vacuum cleaner by pulling on the
cord; the appliance must be moved using its
carrying handle or shoulder strap.
Never lift the appliance by its cord. Stop and
unplug the appliance after each use. Always turn
off
and
unplug
your
appliance
before
maintenance or cleaning.
This appliance is not designed to be used by
people (including children) with a physical,
sensory or mental impairment, or people without
knowledge or experience, unless they are
supervised or given prior instructions concerning
the use of the appliance by someone responsible
for their safety.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
Your vacuum cleaner is fitted with a safety device
to prevent the motor from overheating. In certain
cases (using the power nozzle on armchairs,
seats, etc.) the safety device may be tripped and
the appliance may emit an unusual noise which is
not serious.
Only use original Rowenta accessories and filters.
Check that all the filters are properly in place.
Do not operate the vacuum cleaner without the
filtration system (foam and filters), or without the
protective motor foam or the cover.
Do not fit the foams and filters to the appliance
unless they are completely dry.
In the case of difficulty in obtaining accessories
and filters for this vacuum cleaner, contact the
Rowenta customer service department (see last
page for contact details).
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
USING THE APPLIANCE
IMPORTANT
Always stop and unplug
your vacuum cleaner before changing
accessories.
IMPORTANT
Do not operate the vacuum
cleaner without the filtration system (foam
and filters), or without the protective motor
foam.
2 • Plugging in the electrical
power cord and using the
vacuum cleaner
Completely unwind the power cord, plug in
your vacuum cleaner and push the on/off
pedal

Adjust the suction power: with the manual
suction regulator* on the grip: open the
regulator flap to manually reduce suction,
e.g. for fragile surfaces…
