IMPORTANT SAFETY

INSTRUCTIONS

When using your appliance, basic safety precautions should always be

followed, including the following:

1. Use appliance only for its intended use.

2.  To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance

in water or other liquids.

3.  The appliance should always be turned off before plugging or unplugging

from electrical outlet. Never pull the cord to disconnect from outlet, instead

grasp plug and pull to disconnect.

4.  Do not let the power cord touch hot surfaces. Let the steam station cool

completely before putting it away. Wind up the power cord and attach it

with the Velcro when storing.

5.  Always disconnect appliance from electrical outlet before filling or emptying

water and when not in use.

6.  Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or if appliance has been

dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble

the appliance. Contact Consumer Services or take it to a qualified service

person for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of

electric shock when the appliance is used after reassembly.

7.  Close supervision is required for any appliance used by or near children. Do

not leave the iron unattended while the appliance is connected or on an

ironing board.

8.  Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam. Use

caution when you turn a steam station upside down. There may be hot

water in the reservoir.

9.  This is a 1500 watts appliance. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate a

steam station on the same circuit with another high wattage appliance.

10.  If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with 15A rating or

greater shall be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in a risk

of fire or electric shock due to overheating. Care shall be taken to arrange

the cord so that it cannot be pulled or be tripped over. For any commercial

use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the

manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

-For your safety, this appliance conforms to the applicable standards and

regulations (Low Voltage, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental

Directives, as applicable…).

This product has been designed for domestic and indoor use only.

Your steam station is an electrical appliance: it must be used in normal

conditions of use.

It is fitted with 2 safety systems:

-  A pressure release valve which, in the event of a malfunction, releases any

excess steam.

-   A thermal fuse to prevent the appliance from overheating. Always plug your

steam station into:

-        An electrical installation with voltage 120V. Connecting to the wrong voltage

may cause irreparable damage to the appliance and will invalidate your

guarantee.

-        If the appliance is fitted with Polarized plug (one blade is wider than the

other): to reduce the risk of electric shock, the appliance is fitted with

polarized plug. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug

does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact

a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in

any way.

-  The appliance must not be left unattended while it is connected to the outlet.

-  The plug must be removed from the outlet before the water reservoir is filled

with water.

- The appliance must be used and rested on a stable surface.

-  When placing the appliance on its stand, ensure that the surface on which

the stand is placed is stable.

-  The appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible

signs of damage or if it is leaking.

-  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its

service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

-  This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

-  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.

-  Do not direct steam at people, animals or iron clothes while they are being

worn.

-  Do not use any descaling products (vinegar, industrial descaling products).
